HOW I WORK

THE SHAPE MAY VARY

My creations are shaped by hand. So you should expect slight variations in shape.

I often build the objects from the wrist into the free space.

This creates inimitable unique pieces with their very own character.

Exactly right angles and straight edges are rarely found in my work.

COLOUR SHADE MAY VARY

As I use natural papers, colour variations and different fibre gradients may occur.

Likewise, the transparency, texture and distribution of the embedded natural materials may vary. This is what makes each creation so special.

MANUFACTURING TIME

Each object is first built up as a framework, primed and coated if necessary.

The covering of the lampshades is a very elaborate process that can take several days depending on the complexity.

After covering, the lampshade is damp-stretched to smooth out transitions and form tensions.

To protect against moisture, dust, discolouration, and to increase stability, I varnish all my creations several times from the inside and outside.

Each individual production process therefore goes through different drying phases of several days.
